Karma theory – A professional research & an amateur’s posers
Part 2- An amateur’s posers
We revisit Karma theory often because of it’s as fantastic and linear as a fable. At the end of the day fairness and honesty and virtues will win. What they sow people will harvest. Simple.
1. The first question from this amateur is “Isn’t it too good to be true?”
2.Has anyone done a case study of a few decades of a few king dynasties or global majors and compared whether the Kings still on the throne across the globe are reaping the fruits of the fair rule of their forefathers?
3.In the same analogy, the global majors selling chips or high-calorie beverages, are they now harvesting the karmic benefits for the good they did for consumers earlier (if at all they did one good thing)?
4.How Karma strikes back for individuals and for institutions? Is it same or different?
5.Let’s assume I was a banyan tree in my previous birth. I had given shelter to so many birds and other species that today I am a human being. How many of plants and trees and other species take a different form? How to do a case study of various species and plants etc put together? Like, go for matching the number of different species with different plants and animals and insects?
6.Is the time taken for rebirth homogeneous, like I shall be born within a week of my death, something like that uniform for all Botany, Zoology and humanity?
7.Is it ok, Karma theory offers different takeaways for different stake holders? Example: In capitalist economy have-nots suffer due to their Karama and haves were so good in previous birth etc.
8.Bible says an evil thought = evil action. In Hindu mythology similar preaching is there. In that case a person swinging between bad and good thoughts, what shall be his status?
9.Humanity has history of quality of living going up, and quality of life going down paradoxically. Is it collective karma effect?
10. Is Karma subjective or objective?
11. Is the theme of ‘Crime and punishment’ by Dostoevsky is the essence of Karma theory or whether in modern era conscience is subjective like the conscience of a vegetarian vis-à-vis a non-vegetarian?
There is no ceiling for the questions that Karma theory excites in me. It has everything of a fable. So entertaining. So fantastic. I shall be happy with it if I am childish.
