Only Breath' Poem by Jelaluddin Rumi

Only Breath' Poem by Jelaluddin Rumi

I request readers to read the poem in the above link first and then my review. Thanks

God never created gifted brains exclusively in a race or region. He created kind hearted all over the world. The resources Mother Nature holds are for the whole human race. The affluence with individuals, nations or groups is meant to be shared. Hearts that reach out beyond races and borders are superior and the hands that wipe out the tears of the deprived only are stronger. But we find avidity for amassing wealth by individuals and nations and insularity towards other faiths, domiciles and cultures have burgeoned.

There are minor and major offences under Criminal Procedure Code and various civil laws. Religious and political leaders still divide society and articulate many things opposed to human values, inclusiveness, tolerance and empathy. The laws or law enforcing agencies have no teeth to punish these anti-socials and their number is swelling day by day. We don’t find statesmen anymore. We find only politicians who have no vision or dream for a society that upholds human values more than anything else. The world has everything and every resource to develop into a better one materialistically. But there is no voice of sanity or voice that binds people that can eclipse the shouts of the power mongering religious and political opportunists. Rumi’s poem is a reminder to entire humanity on tolerance and compassion.
